I've had many request for plans conversions building the T-bolt out of steel. I tried using regular muffler tubing last year and found it to be too soft and thick walled (dang heavy). Perhaps the the steel was 1007 instead of 1010? So, I am in process of getting some specs in from The Tube Service in Milpitas. I can easily spec out using 2" muffler tubing for this project, but I'm confident that a smaller diameter tubing with thinner wall thickness will ultimately be the right answer, but I don't have the numbers to make an intelligent decision. So initially, I will be releasing the optimum tube diameters and thicknesses within the week and may also sell pre-cut tubes for the main section. So hang in there, I'll have this information available very soon.
Thank you,
